I’m not a big ‘tangible/physical’ gifts kinda person.

It’s just how I am. They rank a little low on my ‘love languages’ list.

I prefer time or kind words or a plane ticket. I really like those 😀

This Christmas

I was away from most of my family and friends as I spent it in Sydney. I knew I wouldn’t get much gits (if any) and I was perfectly okay with that.

But in looking back, what I actually didn’t realize was that, I got a whole HEAP of gifts.

And it was from all of you

Every single time you shared with me that you ‘watched this video’ or ‘read this post’, it warmed my heart.

Every time my parents came back and told me “I was out the odda day and so and so tell me ‘I’m following Global Gyal!”, it brought a huge smile to my face.

Every time you liked, commented, shared or subscribed to something I created, I was touched.

You took (and continue to take) the time out of your day to let me know that you’re following, you’re supporting me on this journey of mine – and I absolutely love that.

Even though I’m half way across the world, it’s felt as though I have my family, my friends, my family friends and their friends, my acquaintances, and whole heaps of other people who have my back.

Do yall know how much that means to me?

It makes me feel like I have this solid foundation while I pursue this dream of mine. And that I can actually do it. Your positive words and actions reinforce in me everyday that I can do this.

That it’s a good idea. That I should keep going.

So don’t stop.

Don’t stop telling and sharing and watching and clicking and commenting.

Cause they keep me going.

And it’s the best Christmas gift I could ask for right now.

It truly is.

Thank you.

Yours Truly,

Global Gyal
