Hello!

During my first 3-4 of months in New Zealand (and I think after the shock of my move to everyone tbh), I received messages from a few of you, inquiring about my journey and what it’s been like actually LIVING in this new country (that most of us know little to nothing about – if we were being honest).

Soo…..New Zealand?

I compiled the most common questions (and added some others I thought you may be curious to know) and answered them below:

Questions & Answers!

What do you miss the most: My friends and family.
What’s the biggest challenge: Keeping in contact with everyone with such a huge time difference.
Best unexpected thing: Meeting or ‘buttin up’ on people on this side of the world that I know from back home

Weather: Has a mind of its own.
Best discovery: $5 Pizzas at dominoes.
Luckiest thing to happen: Finding a place to live without really looking.

Prettiest sight (so far): Milford sound. Hands down
Best outing: A random night out in Auckland city – I put my faith in a friend of a friend and we all had a great time. We ended up bar hoping and going to one or two clubs which I would’ve never known about if I wasn’t with them!
Biggest unexpected challenge: Bed bugs.

Favorite city: Wellington. When it isn’t windy.
Favorite town:
Wanaka.
Moment you realized you were in New Zealand: 4 months in when I looked at the stars from my bed just before I went to sleep.
Outdoor activity you’ve done the most (so far): Walk the dogs.
Something new you learnt: To cook half decent food.
Biggest discovery: The amount of Caribbean ppl on this side of the world.

Wanaka

Biggest shock: It’s cold IN the houses.
Best winter discovery: Hot water bottle and oil heater.
Piece of clothing you wear most often: My hoodie

Something you’re disappointed in: Not using my time more wisely? Or not pushing myself to move forward with the Global Gyal blog faster.
Something you’re grateful for that you received: A GREAT deal on rent & TIME.
One thing you learnt?: Be open to things, put it out there (truly) and they’ll come to you.

Do you have any other questions for me? About any new experiences? How I managed things? How I survived? No matter how random, I’d love to answer them! Ask away in the comments section below!
