Be yourself.

Use your network.

These are two things you’ve probably heard before countless times.

You may or may not relate to them or even see their importance.

But I need to let you know that they’re VERY important.

How can I phrase it in such a way that isn’t cliche, yet still gets the point across?

In a way that’s meaningful and relatable? Let’s try this:

“The people you meet. Can all add value – no, wait – are a link, a connection of some sort. (Stay with me) And this link, once good, can carry you down almost any avenue/route/direction you want to go down – in life.”

Hmmm 🤔 na. Let’s try this again:

“Once you meet genuine people, and you too are genuine, great things can happen.”

THERE it is! Simple yet effective 😉

This would be my advice to anyone going on a journey – whether it be a physical, mental or emotional one.

Anyone wanting to take a step further, but unsure of where to go/how to do so.

I say, be you and listen to yourself.

For me, I find it a struggle to be my true self around people.

I’m sure that’s something a lot of you can relate too.

But, I want to be able to “do me” in front of everyone – be vulnerable, my true self. Or at least in what I do, in my work.

I feel like this avenue, this blog and this brand allows me to do that. It’s a space where I can be unapologetically me and it works. It works and I love that.

And… in this way too, by being my ‘true self’, I’m able to come across others who show me their true selves too. And we make this great connection that helps fill my daily “feel good bucket”😊.

It’s what I like to do.

It’s what I am doing.

And I hope everyone can learn to value themselves and their connections, and use them to experience the same.

Being unapologetically me, at around 13
