I think I partly became a Kiwi when I decided it was a good idea to take a 5 minute walk to the bank:
- In ¾ length exercise pants.
- While it had been raining on and off (The sun and rain played hide and seek quicker than you could say “boo”).
- In Auckland winter of 12C/ 54F.
AND to top it all off, I had an umbrella for the ready for if it rained. You know “just in case”(and of course it did!).
I think at that point it was safe enough to say I had become “well adjusted” to Auckland (I was 7 months in!) where the weather changed quicker than lightening flashed.
In Auckland, ya just never knew what the weather will do – on good days or bad. Hehe.
